The Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS), was implemented by the U.S. Department of State in January 2003 and is the database in which your exchange visitor record is maintained.
All F, M and J visa holders are subject to a fee for the operation and maintenance of this database. The SEVIS fee is non-reimbursable.
Along with your DS-2019, you will receive the SEVIS receipt (I-797-C or I-901 form) necessary for the obtention of your J-1 visa in your final pack.
The SEVIS fee (€30) is already included in your Parenthese program fees.
